Today India is still in lockdown with the busy streets empty, shops closed and a nation interacting via the Internet.
Today at Mithra there are still 28 Children in care as a number have returned to their homes for the lockdown. There are also about 12 caregivers and others helping the Sisters. We are very grateful to Mark Kranstein from Perth for the many fruit and vegetable gardens that he has planted and tended over the years, so that, at this time of need, Mithra is able to access many of the food items it needs for meals.
Friends of Mithra is indebted to its many Australian supporters who have made contact over the last few weeks to offer financial assistance. We are continually grateful for the generosity and kindness that has been shown. Thank you!
